Virus Information
Recently, we've come across a downloader that comes into computers through MyspaceIM. It uses Java so if there are Windows user accounts that have denied access to installing applications, it will still get through.
Our recommendation is to not use MyspaceIM and to be careful as to what Facebook and Myspace send you. If it looks suspicious, it is probably malicious.

Another Fake AV
Yet another fake antivirus/utility has surfaced. This time in the form of a hard drive utility. If you get messages saying your hard drive has errors or it has crashed (and you are in windows), chances are you have it.
Bring it in for a free diagnostic :)

Comcast DNS Issues
Comcast is currently experiencing DNS issues. What is a DNS? It converts the web address (www.anything.com) to a string of numbers (four (4) octets known as an IP address) to make going to websites easier.
You can change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 within your control panel to get it to work. Those listed servers are Google's DNS servers and they do work better overall in our opinion.
If you require assistance with this, please give us a call at (219) 218-9323 or (219) 374-6663.
